Welcome to Heron School
Home of the Flyers
Heron School is a K-8 School in the Natomas Unified School District with approximately 1,050 students and is located just north of the State Capitol, near the Sacramento River. Heron School has a dedicated staff committed to developing the social, physical and academic success for all students. The staff of Heron School believes every student is capable of learning and that our staff is ready to meet the needs of our learners. The staff works jointly with our parents and school community to create a strong partnership that best serves our students and promotes student achievement.

Heron has worked to create an environment that is proactive in ensuring student safety through school involvement. Student leadership is encouraged and students have a voice in school decisions and activities. Heron continually works to support conflict management and anti-bullying education. Heron strives to maintain a campus that is welcoming to visitors, bustling with family and community involvement, and thriving with student learning!
